Works for me

I use this whenever I'm watching long videos on my iPod without the AC adapter. I've also used this to simply recharge my iPod when the internal battery is low. I can recharge my iPod 2 or 3 times from a single charge of this external battery. I've used it a lot over the past six months and have never had any problems. Unlike some other batteries, which attach to the bare iPod, leaving it unprotected, this one easily attaches with the USB sych cable through the standard cutout in the iPod case (a short, coiled version is included, or you can use your own). The instructions were not very useful, but it's not so complicated a thing that instructions are required. I would give it 5 stars if it were a larger capacity battery.

A waste of money

I bought an external battery pack for my daughter before a long trip to Africa, and she was delighted until she was on the plane trying to use the battery pack - it was a disaster, since it keeps the iPOD going, but the songs do not advance, so it was basically worthless.
