I bought all three extended batteries available on Amazon (Qcell: QCell Samsung Galaxy SIII X-Life NFC enabled 4200mAh Extended Battery + Dual Dark Blue & White Back Covers) **WITH NFC FOR S BEAM & GOOGLE WALLET SUPPORT**, Hyperion: Hyperion Samsung Galaxy SIII 4000mAh Extended Battery + White Back Cover), and this one). I then did repeatable battery drain tests using a battery logger application and an app called 'Fast Discharge' (wifi, bluetooth, gps, and cpu enabled. no screen, vibrator, or flash) for all three, and the stock battery...from 100% to 5%.This battery and the Hyperion one both get 5 hours of runtime on the dot, and stock gets 2:45.However, this product has a number of issues. The battery lasts 81% longer than stock, and stock is 2100mAh, so I estimate the battery is roughly 3800mAh (more about this at the end). The back plate is not compatible with the QCell case, although the Hyperion case is. It is a bit too large and the case just won't fit right. The battery also doesn't have NFC, and both the Hyperion and QCell batteries do.I peeled back the cover of the battery and I saw the following inscribed: SWB495060AR/12F18001. I also used a CBA-III battery analyzer to test the battery, and got about 4340mAh out of 4500mAh advertised.Considering this product is more expensive than the Hyperion battery, is not the stated capacity, and doesn't have NFC, this is not a good buy at all. The QCell battery has its own issues, undersized cells and foam shims are used.

Good build, a little worried with no mention of NFC

Just got the battery and back cover, and I'm pretty happy with the size and heft of both. I'll give it a few days of charge / use before I give my opinion on the battery life, but most people seem to get the battery part right and fail on the little details, which I'll go into now.Considering the quality build of the S3, the new back is very plain by comparison. It would be nice to have some kind of texture (maybe even options) with either a little more rubberized feel (like my old Mophie case for the iPhone 4S) or more of a slick / glossy feel like the stock back that came with the phone. I do like the way that they molded around the camera, flash, and speaker -- didn't think I would from the screenshots, but I do.Now comes my biggest worry. NFC. I know the product description doesn't include it, so I can't expect this battery to include it, but considering that most consumers won't expect a major marketed aspect of the S3 (NFC == google wallet, samsung beam, and who knows how many other technologies) to stop working just by replacing a battery, I wanted to mention it here.*EDIT*I did verify that there is NO NFC on this battery. I'm going to try and live without it for the moment and see how far that goes, but future buyers beware, no NFC means no google pay, google wallet, samsung beam, tecTiles, all of those things will not work with your phone using this battery.*EDIT #2 (after a few days of using the product*Battery is better than expected. I had to go out of my way just to run the battery down at the end of the day so that I could get a fair charge / discharge scale. As of this point, I've stopped worrying about the battery life of my S3 and I'm just using it full time as my mp3 player, and mobile communication device - no power savings turned on, no throttling of the cpus, nothing. Just full speed, full power, and full experience. Samsung should applaud Onite for completing their product.Now, if I could just get a 4500mAh battery with my NFC still working, it would be perfect. Still waiting on Onite to release that.

I am more than thrilled with finding this battery--and all for under $20. The smooth plastic cover and battery from the manufacturer is replaced with an extra thick battery and adapted cover. The battery lasts a great deal longer than the original. The new cover is more of a rubbery dull plastic material than the hard shiney plastic. It reminds me of a Lenovo Thinkpad shell. It looks great, fits great, and handles well. I think the phone is much easier to hold with this case in place. I strongly recommend this to anyone with the Samsung Galaxy Siii.
