If only it had a USB alternative...

This is a great product except for the fact that it only charges via USB which takes a loooong time. But the good news is that it doesn't need to be charged that often. I wonder though on a plane to say Rome, using your iPad and the charger then getting there without a computer--where do you recharge? At home, no problem, at work no problem so I give it 4 stars since it works perfectly for charging my iPhone and iPad and can easily be recharged at night using my laptop.

I got these for my daughters to always have a backup for their phone. They seem to hold a charge a good long time. it won't charge your phone twice after being in a purse for a week but it will certainly give a good charge so you can make a critical phone call (or just keep posting to Facebook).

It did not explode or produced toxic fumes when connected. In fact, it did nothing whatsoever. I returned it to the seller without problems. Unfortunately, I needed it for a trip immediately and there was not more time to try another or any alternative product. It's good looking, however. A good conversation piece, or an interesting decoration for any desk. Guys could also carry them in their shirt pockets; they don't die or leak ink like pens, etc. A bit expensive for all of that, though.
