RPod light and USB charger

We've just returned from a trip with the rpod and was actually quite a hit! Our family will usually camp once a few times a year and this was a great addition to our gear, and most attached were our children, who absolutely loved it! The light itself is crazy bright, more than any of the flashlight or lamps that we had brought and the color cap was great night light or used for quick bathroom breaks when you didn't want your eyes to readjust again. Also, the charging feature worked great and charged our iphone 4S and our son's ipod touch charged up nearly the entire time. The built quality is fantastic, feels hefty and the protective `rubberized' texture is a nice to touch and to grip. In summary, this is a great gadget and packs plenty of useful features. Works perfectly and can't wait to use it on future trips!

I received my r.pod and plugged it in to charge via a wall outlet. After it was fully charged, I was impressed with the brightness of the r.pod and pleased with the flashlight feature. It will definitely light up the tent when we go camping! Then I plugged a smartphone in to charge and it works like a charm. I haven't tested charging the r.pod via the solar panel yet, but expect that it will work just fine. I am impressed with the quality of the product and the unique design and functionality of the r.pod*Update: I have had the opportunity to use the r.pod more now and am even happier with it. I have taken it ice fishing to keep phones charged and have used the solar panel to charge it a number of times. It's functional and convenient. I appreciate the size too--not too big, but big enough where I'm not worried about losing it at the bottom of a duffle like with other smart phone chargers. So far it has functioned exactly as I'd hoped--even in the cold winter while ice fishing!

This product is excellent for charging my iphone quickly when needed. It holds enough charge to charge my iphone up over two whole times from around 10% and i reckon it could've kept going if needed. the light on there is insanely bright and has an added SOS feature. The solar cell looks of very high quality ( Glass nothing like i've seen so far) and though it does take about 10 hours to charge fully, it seems to charge much quicker than most others i have tried.and here's the rundown:Pro:compact/portablelarge batterySturdystandard USB outputRubberized exteriorsuper-bright light and SOSeco-friendlyCons:non-replaceable batterycharge time (charging by sun took approx 10 hrs, but def better than most)only partial charge on larger devices like tabletsFor any trips however, its a great to have some assurance that I pretty much have a portable outlet with "umlimited" power via the sun. satisfied and very pleased!
