Great USB battery charger

During Hurricane Sandy we used a BattStation to charge iPhones, iPads , Android phones and Tablets while the power was out. The provided 30 pin adapters make it easy to switch between devices. You can even charge two items at the same time.We also relied on the built in flashlight to get around in the dark.I recently purchased a second one to keep in my car. Its rubber shell keeps it protected from impacts and splashes so I don’t worry about taking it to go.I have seen more expensive battery packs that are not as powerful as this one. Good bang for the buck. I would recommend purchasing this product.

Exactly what I wanted

Recharges my iPhone 5 quickly about 3 times. The rubber sleeve can be slipped on and off and easily cleaned.

When I took it out of the box it looked big, compared to what my friends have. But I soon realized that it came with a rubberized outer case/shell. With the case removed, it's a nice size to handle (slightly wider than a iPhone 4S, twice as thick). It slips nicely into my laptop bag pocket that I take on business trips. The rubberize case with reinforced corners keeps the battery away from bumps - I see myself using it in car trips charging up my kid's tablet (and you know how kids handle stuff!). Of course, the outer case comes only in black!It has 4 blue LEDs that indicate the charge level and a check battery button. When charging, one of the LED will blink and all will light up when charging completes. Double clicking on the button will turn on/off a white LED "flashlight".The battery is rated at 8400mAh and comes fully charged out of the box! It has a 0.5A and a 1.0A USB output - I used it to simultaneously charge my iPhone and an old HP TouchPad (a power hog) without any problems.It comes with a micro USB-USB cable, Apple 30 pin connector and Samsung Galaxy tip. The cable doubles up to charge the battery - from a USB power source such as a laptop. I have charged it using an iPhone wall charger and my wife cellphone micro-USB charger too - I don't have to hunting for a laptop's USB to plug it in!It's a great product, well designed and rugged. I strongly recommend this BattStation from ibattz to anyone looking for a backup battery solution.
