great little gadget.

I bought this for when my son had band trips so by the end of the day he could call me when they got back. Well it does what I needed it to and then some. He took it with him on the Disney trip that the band planned. Not only has it kept his phone charged but he lets others use it as well. They all love it now they can take all the photos they want and still use their phones during the day. For any parent I would suggest this so your kids can call home after a long school function.

Does the job

This works for my intended purpose, which was not emergency power, I have a more powerful unit for that purpose. Instead, I was looking for a low profile micro-usb power source to plug into my Nook Tablet to allow it to boot of the internal micro-SD card. Many Nook tablet's won't boot directly from micro-sd and need a usb power source attached to them...
