This is a Must Have

If you don't have an external battery charger with an extra battery you are missing out! I'd been following this one for a while and the price is great now...no reason to buy an off-brand or copy. This is a genuine Samsung charger and stand that comes with a Samsung battery, in its original packaging. Item shipped quickly and arrived much earlier than expected. No complaints here, highly recommend.

Power All Day Long

Don't take the title as a shot at Samsung notoriety for poor battery life in their products. If you're purchasing a new Samsung product or have been a long-supporting Samsung customer you should already know you're in for it when it comes to battery life. Either way, the superior functionality of Samsung products outweighs the easily remedied battery life issues.I have a Samsung Droid Charge and, as a first-time Samsung consumer, it didn't take long for me to realize the issues with battery life. When searching for a cost-effective solution to the problem I found that a spare battery was the best solution for me. Some may for with an extended battery, which are widely available and often at a competitive price point. I chose to stick with a spare battery based on the fact that I have an Otter Box Defender series case due to the rugged protectiveness required with my profession and it would not work with an extended battery.The only gripe that I had with this product is that while the original battery packaged with the device is a 1600mAh battery the spare battery offered here is only 1500mAh. The almost insignificant difference went almost unnoticed with normal to heavy daily use.In conclusion, I'm am quite satisfied with this product based upon it's fair price point, consistent battery life, highly portable external battery charger (slips easily into jacket or pants pocket without feeling bulky or heavy) which can be plugged into either a wall charger or a car charger with a USB-connection.

My only dissapointment is it came with a 1500 battery. I thought it was a ?1650 which is what the droid charge came with. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. I use it a lot as a stand [even for my nook color]. I'm glad I got this instead of the extended battery I've seen others mention. Small, portable and gives plenty of battery life for heavy use.
