Good backup

This battery pack has plenty of power. It kept two iPads, an iPod, and iPhone charged during a 6-hr flight during which four people used them almost constantly. I was very pleased, as were the kids, who were playing games and watching movies.The size is about the same as my iPhone, so it easily slipped into the zippered pocket in my purse. I've shown it to and recommended it to several family members and friends with heavily-used electronics.

solar powered?

The first day I got this charger, I put it in the window to charge, by evening it still was not completely charged, but had advanced to 3 lights. I plugged it into an outlet to charge the rest of the way. Charger worked fabulous! I haven't had the best of luck solar charging it again though.

As soon as I got this i used it right away and it charged the phone from 50% within about an hour and a half. I then charged it fully with the USB then the next day used it to charge the phone from 30% and only used 25% of the available charge. What a great charger. I cant evaluate the solar part yet.
